Christine is a Raleigh native and graduate of NC State University with a business and marketing degree. She started working for Philips Investments (now Copperleaf Capital) at the age of 18. Christine continued volunteering from time to time to help the company with client events over the years, telling Ryan Peterson, “I will work for you one day.” He accepted her offer in 2014, and she had big shoes to fill, taking over the role of head of Operations from her mother, Penny Mathis.

Christine recently married the love of her life after they bumped into each other in their neighborhood 34 years after dating in high school. They love to spend their free time walking the Copperleaf Capital office dog, Kali, being with family and friends, and being at their “Happy Place” at the beach.
