Ryan Peterson’s breadth of expertise comes from over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. He built a successful financial planning practice and was then recruited into the corporate side of the industry, where he trained thousands of financial advisors across the United States. In 2016, Ryan co-founded one of the fastest-growing financial services companies in America, with over $28 billion in regulatory assets under management as of Feb. 29, 2024. Ryan sold his interest in the company in 2023.
Ryan has written numerous articles for industry trade journals, as well as a best selling book, “Life.Perfected.” He is committed to many charitable causes, including the donation of all proceeds from “Life.Perfected.” to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA in strategic management from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. His professional designations include CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). He also received a Certificate in Blockchain & Digital Assets from the Digital Assets Council of Financial Professionals.
Ryan has three children and enjoys music, theater and sports. He loves drinking wine in Napa with his wife of 25 years and running marathons around the world. Many years ago, Ryan set a goal of completing a marathon in all 50 states prior to his 50th birthday in June 2020. With one marathon to go, his final marathon was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic just days prior to his 50th birthday. Ryan shifted his focus and instead ran 50 miles on his 50th birthday to raise money for Feeding America (www.Feedingamerica.org). Donations, including matching gifts, provided meals for over 1,500,000 Americans in need. He completed his 50th state marathon in Alaska in June 2021, a few days before his 51st birthday. The highlights were having his wife run her first marathon with him and being chased by a moose at mile five.
